"For Blood Trail, Arturo Bastón made a collage of animated gif images.
All moving objects form a unity in a world that is about to fall apart.
The moon spills out of its orbit, an airplane has become uncontrollable, a hot air balloon is on fire, a mountain is melting and a village is being flooded by high waves. The camera descends to the depth of the ocean, goes right through the surface of the earth and ends up in a hell that is very familiar to us.
Where did we see those flying bats and that giant spider before? We had to look it up ourselves, but animation experts immediately recognize the images from the video Hell's Bells (1929)... Hell is from Walt Disney."
