-The symbiosis that Arturo achieved between two films, two genres, two eras, two epic views of life and death, are such that the collage of image and sound loses its seams. At masculinizing female voices he ironizes the surreal effect of bad dubbing and at the same time gender
stereotypes in film industry.But behind the apparently nonsensical mixture of eras and spaces (prehispanic scenes, Mexican style drama, background noise of a dystopian future), lies in its hypnotic cadence the eternal
return of cinematography lavishness and its mythical themes (sacrifices, revenges, oracles, prodigal sons fighting against exterminating angels...).
